Various models of robots were presented at the CES 2008, and a lot of them are really amazing. However, I picked up for you two robots which I found to be very funny and charming in the same time.
First of all, he
re is Mr. Clock- if you are sick and tired of the classical way of waking up and the clock in your possession is quite old-fashioned,we present you the perfect alternative. It can reach your ears in 30 different tone rings, 300 wake up messages and there are many other extra features that make it unique- it can play music via AM, FM or iPod/MP3, tell fortune, blink, tell the time out loud and even wink. However, before going out in the morning and kick it in the face, remember it costs around 80$ a piece.

Our second option is the robotic pet- meet Wrex the Dawg by WowWee,which can be changed to any mood you would like from the three options it has- happy, sad and angry and it features 14 motors for movement and a remote control for general locomotion. It can be really funny and can cheer you up in some many ways (imagine that it has an option when the dog starts suddenly acting like a cat, it can roam on his own, you have to take it out and feed it!). The price for this piece of a kind is around 150$.

Ever wondered what are ants doing all day, working so hard, building up their “homes”, going to “work” and all of those tales you were told when you were a child? How much is true and how much is fiction? Now you can watch ants up close when they dig tunnels and caves in a transparent gel.
Developed for NASA, to test animal reactions in weightless condition, this gel is now available for you to make you own tests at home. Well… they will not be in weightless conditions but it still works down here on earth. All you have to do is to go and find some ants, “invite” them into their new blue home, and press a few holes in the surface of the gel. The ants will do the rest of the work.
You don’t have to feed the ants because the gel itself is nutritious. The ants simply feed out of the gel.The container is sealed tight but has two small air vents in the lid. It is a good idea though to open the lid once in a while to let in some fresh air.
Please do not use this with other animals then ants!

The Lulu’s Hideaway is an unsually shaped pet bed made from a truncated cube (it was a mathematician’s dream). The cube had the corners snipped off in order to create triangular surfaces. Because it’s an unusual polyhedron makes it fare more visually interesting than the vast majority of pet beds. The bed is made of acrylic with a white exterior, purple interior and octagonal entry. The price for Lulu’s Hideaway is $550.

The Beastro Pet Table is topped with a couple of dog-sized serving bowls and was styled after a more conventional bistro bar. The table has a built-in cabinet for storing food, pet supplies or anything else that a pampered pup needs and comes in three sizes for medium, large, and extra large dog breeds, but is not available in very small sizes because the utility of the cabinet would be compromised. The pet table is handcraft from “layered Baltic birch” and retains the natural, attractive wood grain pattern even though the various stains that can be added to it. Depending the size and choise of finish the Beastro Pet Table has prices start at $525.
