Worlds largest plasma

Each year, in January, Las Vegas is the host of the CES- a high tech Disneyland for the gadget obsessed. Everything with a circuit will be announced and drooled over. But already, the one item that’s catching eWorlds largest plasma veryone’s attention is Panasonic’s monster 150 inches Plasma HDTV. It seems that the model is the largest plasma on Earth and it measures 47 inches more than the current record holder, also by Panasonic, designed actually by Matsushita.  The screen measures 2 meters by 3.5 meters, and you can bet it’s resolution will be much better than the 103 inch model, which sports a 3001:1 contrast ratio and over 2 million pixels.

This means that in high definition, it will be actually hard to see the difference between a real person and one on the screen. This is actually quite interesting and practical for teleconferencing options, or if you want to see a movie like you were on the scene. Too bad it’s in plasma though. Until persistent burn in problems are completely solved, it’s a heck of a lot to pay for 150 inch ghost images. The monster plasma shall be available starting 2009, and hopefully the cost won’t be so astronomical to prevent the common millionaire from buying one.

Real fireplace illuminator heater

Did you ever consider a fireplace right into your own living-room? I am sure most of us dream about that because it is surely a cosy im*age to be brought to your house, but in the same time it is very expensive to have a real one and quite a trouble to get it mantained. Here come the Japanese guys that thought about this issue too- they brought on the market a real fireplace illuminator heater that looks just like a plasma Tv but it shows the image of fire burning in real wonderful colors and the device actually heats the place. So, if you are passing through a very cold Russian winter, like I do, for sure you will need one of these.

Moreover, the gadget looks very nice in a living room and brings that mark of cosyness characteristic to a fire-place. On the other hand, you should know that the image can not be changed, the only one available is the burning fire. However, I could really use one of these inventions and I am sure it will look nice near a cup of hot chocolate and a good, classic movie in a cold night of January.

Photo copies at the push of a button

Remember the following situation: how many times has a relative of yours come into your hPhoto copies at the push of a buttonouse and looked through your photo memories, always saying how lovely it would be if you could make a copy of that specific photo for him/her? And also each time they asked, you said “Sure!”, but you never got the time to get that photo out of its frame, take it over to the nearest digital photo shop and make the so much wanted copy-well, we all have been there at least once and each time we said again “Sure!”. How about doing this into your home, in just fourty seconds, by the push of one single button?

This digital photo frame I am talking about includes a 300×300dpi printer built right into it. With a push of a button, the request for a copy can be fulfilled at one every forty-two seconds. Also on board are card slots to fit SD, MS, MMC and XD cards so updating the digital frame is a rather straight forward affair. Additionally, the frame has it’s own soundtrack with stereo speakers on board and the ability to play WMA audio. And the gadget is not only a concept, it is actually available in Korea but it seems that noone knows the price for now- wonderful device however and very practical and easy to use- I am just wondering what would be the price for such a gadget.
